/w/ links will not be indexed in any search engines due to Wikipedia's robots.txt file which tells search engines what pages to ignore or bans some entirely.
Instructions for converting /w/ to /wiki/:
1.
/w/index.php?title=
to
/wiki/
2. If there's a bit called
&type=
replace it with
/
3. At the first
&
change it to a
?
4. (Optional) If there's any bit with an equals sign but just a & straight after, you can safely delete the word before it, the equals sign and the &. Example:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log/...ser+queerrights
becomes
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Log/...ser+queerrights
This isn't totally needed, just makes the link shorter.
5. (Optional) Change
+
or spaces to
_
because some stuff doesn't recognise plus signs in URLs
