I know enough to know that some of the more bizarre phenomena I've been seeing here lately fall under the heading of textbook themes like Identification with the Oppressor and Identification with the Captor (also known as the Patty Hearst Syndrome), but I don't think I know enough to save you people from their effects. I may just have to save myself — and let the devil take the hindmost.

The last straw was watching Poetlister and Taxwoman attacking Daniel Brandt (his real name) and dreaming that someone like Newyorkbrad (not his real name) was going to be their savior. Daniel Brandt is the only person in the whole lyin' den of Wikipedia who got the lead out and did what it takes to bring the Wikipharoah to heel. If you dream that "leaders" who don't even have the gonads to come out from behind their screen names are ever going to get off their hobby horses and do anything real and lasting for you — well, as far as I'm concerned you can all just go on dreaming.
