No, but seriously, I think that Wikimedia Commons' attitude to porn (and content in general - 'assuming good faith' about copyright licensing?) is pretty naive for all the reasons stated out in that essay.

The image lolwut once had, "Luna," was not excessively skinny, but very attractive. I think America Ferrara is about perfect, but is apparently considered plus-size. I'm not sure what the most precise term for that range is, but that's my preference.

I believe the people who are obsessed with big breasts are adolescents (obviously) and Americans.

My theory always was that it is exactly because breasts are such a taboo in the America: you will not see them on non-coded TV or in advertisement. I do not think any other country would even notice the (in)famous "wardrobe malfunction". In Europe it would be only a minor news item, showed for one day uncensored on the TV news and then forgotten.

It turns out it's hard to find "reasonable fat" woman porn on the internet Alison. You know, fat like I am (and if you have never seen a photograph of me, I am about the same build as my avatar). Searching for fat woman porn either turns up "normal" - like the ~18% body fat one should be aiming for, or women whose knees are not visible because they are hidden by their guts, even though they are on their backs with their legs in the air.

There's just no happy, middle ground. I once cohabited with a woman about 5' 8", 200 lbs. (which is fatter by Canadian standards than American ones, but we ain't skinny either) - I don't think I could find porn of women with her build. Too bad, she wore it well.

Actually although the UK may be more like the US in some respects than any other European nation, I think the UK's attitude to exposed breasts is more similar to other European countries than it is to the American one. I mean you wouldn't get page 3 girls in newspapers in the US, and a breast is not so much of a taboo thing that if a woman's nipple slipped out it would generate a huge controversy.
