One can only imagine the pain, suffering and anguish caused to Ken Lay's family and friends.

I'm sure it was considerable, but nevertheless I'm surprised the media picked up on this the way it did, even if it was Reuters that initiated it... The fact is, Kenneth Lay was one of the most hated men in America, and for a while he might have been the most hated. At least half the Americans reading about Wikipedia's handling of his death are likely to think he got far less abuse than he deserved.

I'm not sure what would be a good analogy for UK'ers and Australians, but either way, I doubt this is going to do much real damage to Wikinews or Wikipedia in general, even in the short term. Oh well.
