Hey Jimbo...I've found your kid in Africa.

And it seems he has done quite well without your, or Google's, help.

Here's to the triumph of human ingenuity over adversity!
And the triumph of truth over fraud.

Indeed, it does reek of cyber-colonialism...with the patronizing, condescension that only technology can save these poor, starving souls.
Simply replace technology with:
*Bibles
*Capitalism
*Guns
And you see how only the tools are different, but the goal remains the same-To overpower the powerless...to control minds and not simply, as in the past, bodies.

William Kamkwamba is not only an inspiration, a further testament to the human spirit and ingenuity, but a refutation to all the Jimbos and Sally Struthers who believe that only the great white bwanas can help the 3rd world's impoverished.
All they need is our hand, not our handouts nor our old laptops. Why not send them our old cellphones as well, while we're at it, so they can order out for pizza. Hungry children don't learn very well and it makes about as much sense.

I strongly encourage everyone reading this to buy and read William Kamkwamba's book and/or make a donation to his site.

Cut out the middle con man.
