Sj stated earlier this year that one of the worst things to happen to Wikiversity was a lack of patrolling for vandalism and a lack of welcoming people.

I told people that they were too lazy to bother doing all the work. I kept a log of a lot of stuff missed.

So, I welcome people with the subject "shameful that no one welcomed you".

I welcomed 21 people, some dating back 6 days and all would have been easy to see if one bothered to do the minimum of patrolling.

However, this embarassed SB Johnny, who hid all the summaries.

You Wikipediots have an odd sense of fair labor practices.

It's only somewhat better with Wikibooks, made all the more obvious with flagged revisions causing countless "review" tags to pop up for me in recent changes showing where we're falling behind. And I did make all the global sysops reviewers as well, so you can't put all the blame on the community.

That said, it's common for a bot or the automatic welcoming extension to be set up to handle this if it becomes too much like work and not friendly interpersonal interaction. You can at least pretend things aren't going downhill in your edit summaries.

"Interesting" would imply something unusual or unexpected happened. Looking at the two events:

1) Ottava continues to throw a tantrum. Typical behavior
2) Ottava gets blocked for his immature behavior. Expected

Although, overall, it is still mildly interesting how high-and-mighty Ottava gets over working on a small volunteer project. It would make an interesting psychological study, probably related to the Mall Ninja mindset.
