Holiday zest on Jimbo's talk page. There are complaints about WP:GIANTDICK and COMPETENCE. The more clever among the complainers are probably thinking of other essays, more aimed at high-value POV pushers, such as WP:SAUCE, WP:9STEPS and WP:ACTIVIST.

Most wikipedia essays, and their are thousands of them, are self-indulgent wanking of massive proportion by their authors - not worth the effort to read. An exception is Giano's On Civility, which I find entertaining.
