Their time and money would be better spent improving their own website and services, than wasting it on wikipedia.

They would be better off talking to Google to make sure that when it comes to cancer (or indeed any medical issue) wikipedia is on page 100 of the search results.

Would never make into Reader's Digest, but a pretty funny news typo all the same. (PS, I think they discovered the error and took the page down. At least I can't find it and the link doesn't work).

It also promised experts years of misery, as they fight with a horde of pimple-faced nerds who are out to have their revenge on academia and any kind of authority. Except whatever "authority" exists between anonymous accounts on Wikipedia, and is gained there only by means of years of site social-climbing, obscessive life-ruining amounts of editing, and a certain amount of subterfuge.... ermm.gif

Do you realize how broken the Macleans website is? I've tried three different
URLs for that article, found thru their own searchbox and thru Google--and all
three of them were wrong.....
