Daniel Brandt
(First name redacted) is trying to cover her tracks better. Remember the discovery that revealed her identity? It went like this:

Go to http://www.kings.cam.ac.uk/nonresidents/di...ry/fulllist.php and scroll to page 24. Mouseover the name (name redacted) and the email address shows up as slimvirgin1@yahoo.com. This is the same email address on the registration for slimvirgin.com that was submitted in 2002, under the name S. McEwan in Swalwell, Alberta, Canada.

Well, someone got that Kings College email changed. If you do the same thing now, it reads, slimvirgin1@gmail.com. And her slimvirgin.com registration is now hidden behind an anonymous registration, as of two months ago.

If SlimVirgin isn't Linda Mack, then someone named Linda Mack who has an affinity for the name "SlimVirgin" is going to a lot of trouble for reasons that have nothing to do with Wikipedia. Yeah, okay, and that person lives in Canada and probably has a poodle she dresses up too.
Nathan
Way to go, Slimmy. You just proved your own identity.

I'm just marveling at the fact that anyone would use the email "slimvirgin" as their personal email, with their real name attached.

That takes a special kind of personality. blink.gif

What was that about the poodle? She dresses her poodle too?

See RfA Gracenotes (section WP:NOT) for details. rolleyes.gif

On a lighter note, at least her dog loves her.

any strange POV edits going on at [[Poodle]]? I hate to make this poodle guilty by association, but this poor doggy has no other choice than to be a product of its environment.

an anon edit performed by slim's poodle ?

or maybe this? ohmy.gif

You could add to our collection of Virginia Slim trivia, if you have software (as seen on TV cop shows) that can zoom in and flesh out the detail on the book titles in the background. One of the ones to the left appears to include the words "legal guide."

For some odd reason — whose Kritik I omit — it was that scene from Bladerunner that came first to mind.

If this were a TV crime drama I am sure we could pull a full photo of Slimey out from behind the flash reflection in the mirror!

I tried various techniques, but the flash itself is the big problem. I could only get her hat to show up.

Daniel - I foolishly failed to make a copy of this when I first looked it up, and now it's gone. Do you recall the year, and the subject. I seem to recall 1988 for the year, not sure about the subject.

She was in a PhD program in philosophy, studying under Bernard Williams. She dropped out shortly after Pan Am 103 went down on December 21, 1988.

I guess she'll be taking down this box on her user page now:

Are we sure SV is even a person?

I wouldn't rule out that the character called SV is actually an experiment in artificial intelligence. smile.gif

You're thinking of User:JoshuaZ... SlimVirgin is an experiment in artificial irrationality.

And a highly successful one, I must say!

Here's another question that occurred to me.

If Daniel Brandt and SlimVirgin both contacted this helpful company about getting information that they "don't approve of" off the web, which of the two do you think they'd be more eager to take on as a client?

LOL.

Ok - I want to know what are their proprietary tactics™. They charge between 9.95 and 15.95 per month (depending on the length of membership) to monitor web content. And (along with these GINSU KNIVES....

so please, splainy how they get people to take things down for 29.95 per offending item?

I wonder if the "rubber hitting the road" means that the bang someone's rubber-like head on the pavement until they agree to erase the offending material.

Because I dont know what else would make someone clean off their page - or blog - or whatever.

The best part is the testimonials section, from people who give no contact details.

Negotiate in good faith?

Avoid making legal threats against the one person who offers to help?

Not lie about the motives or actions of the opposing side?

Agree not to engage in "chest-beating," by claiming that removal of the offending material constitutes an admission of guilt, after the fact?

Accept that the internet is a rough and nasty place, and not expect everyone to play nice, especially if they haven't been doing that themselves?

Offer to set up one of the admins moderating the offending site on a hot date with Kristanna Loken?

I'm sure there are others...

Take a look at this on conservapedia tongue.gif

And it appears to have been added by admins of that site. Eeek ohmy.gif

Where do you get these? Also why do people criticize her for the poodle? At least she's not like most people who have pit pulls and other dogs bred for attacking and say "Oh my cute pit bull. He'll never hurt anyone!" then let them run stray. Those people, though, generally don't go online, and spend a lot of time outdoors, and probably don't know what wikipedia is.

Where do you get these?

You can usually get the names of reputable dog breeders from your local "kennel club," I believe?

Just out of curiosity, have you been searching for free, high-quality information about Pit Bulls, only to find that 99% of the sites out there deal with dog fighting or horror stories of mauling Hell Hounds? Well, you need look no further than pitbulllovers.com!

Anyway, people don't criticize her for the poodle. We criticize the poodle itself, for not making enough of an effort to sufficiently distract Slimmy from pursuing her nefarious wikipedian agenda.
