Jimbo Wales, wanting to demonstrate the positive side of the wikipedia philosophy goes and keeps his userpage unprotected. He pretty almost never edits it. Even when someone put a picture of a guy that looked like him being pulled by an Indian serf in a rickshaw, he didn't like it but only told people he didn't like it when people complained about it.

His userpage's history is largely vandalism and people reverting it. What's left over is people edit warring over tiny formatting changes.

So his page does show the positive side of his philosophy that people can ruin his page, but others will go and quickly fix it.

But it shows the negative side as well. That is that there has to be someone there constantly watching his userpage for vandalism or it'll sit there looking horrible for hours or days. And even reverted, his database is packed full of megs of garbage in vandalized revisions.
