A wikipedia admin sent me this link and asked me to post it here. Although I've had history with Ryulong, I don't have any opinion (at least not yet) as I haven't bothered to read it.

I don't trust RFCs as far as I can throw them. This will likely be thrown out.

I doubt most of you continued paying attention, but the last time Ryulong was brought up here, it didn't end here. Check out the first link in the RFC under 'evidence of trying and failing to resolve the dispute'. Three admins and a bureaucrat were prepared to call Ryulong on their membership in Admins open to Recall. If everyone's favorite MIB had formally said he was calling for Ryulong's recall, Ryulong would have probably lost their admin bit. I'm quite certain Ryulong will eventually find itself before Arbcom, but probably not this time.

If MIB had stood up to the cabal like you say, the cabal would do to MIB what they did to Karmafist.

From reading the RFC, he throws the "sockpuppet" charge around a lot and blocks everybody in sight. Why would the admins oppose?

RFC, like all the steps in the Dispute Resolution process before ArbCom, is just a formality. Almost everyone that starts a RFC really just wants to get to ArbCom as quickly as possible because they don't believe that anything else works.

But, when they get to ArbCom... oh boy... everyone regrets it (except for "Cabal" members like Jayjg).

My guess is if he ever does go to ArbCom, they'll clear him and punish his accusers. ArbCom: "Well, of course he'd act abusive towards others: he's a vandal fighter and an administrator. What did you except?"

I say get rid of all these so-called vandal fighters. They've become as abusive as the ones they block (To clarify, those the vandal fighters claim to be abusive). I've reverted vandalism once or twice, where's my admin buttons? Anyone... no... EVERYONE on WP is a vandal fighter. Everyone can revert vandalism as they see it or come across it. No one should just be sitting at their computer just refreshing the Recent Changes or Related Changes page looking for things to revert. That is madness, WP, sheer madness! Why is the WP Community "discussing" (it's not a vote, you know) people into power just by reverting vandalism? It boggles my mind. Madness!

Ryulong has to get the chop. His record is atrocious.

At present he is the most abusive admin on the site. One dubious block is bad, two careless, three demands the removal of tools. This guy has a score of dubious blocks. Evey week it seems to be a new complaint.

Just when I was taking names of Ryulong's supporters, SlimVirgin added her unanimous support. Another bad move Slim. You'll be next. Here's a rollcall of the shamless who support admin abuse:

I'm no friend of admin blocks, but I wonder about the politics here. This looks like another person whose "misbehavior" stems from a fight with the image deleting vandal crowd. Look at his Talk page and you see the usual suspects: Abu badali and Quadell. Where you see one, the other is soon to follow. Here's yet another spat about "image tagging," which is admin talk for the mass-deletion of photographs.

BTW, if SV is on one side and Quadell on the other, there are no good guys here. May they fight a long war of attrition.



Editorial staffs don't need admins except to run rudimentary IT functions. Begone with them all. They add nothing but hurt feelings and animosity.

BTW, I will admit to schadenfreude when I see admins fighting admins. It is just desserts. As long as they obsesses over one another, they have less time to harass me. Anything that wastes SV's time is beneficial.

That'd be a good enough sign to me that someone knows that what they're doing to other people might not be enjoyed.

Mackensen usually is a somewhat decent guy, but I see he not only supports Ryulong but goes on a long rant about people not letting Ryulong respond.

Looking at the history, Ryulong has had tons of chances to respond. But rather, Ryulong has reverted these communications in his talk page instead of responding.

I'd love to see the discussion about that on Requests for Page Protection!

Remember how admin Freakofnurture had a vandalbox on his userpage and everyone was fine with it? Well a nonadmin does the same thing and Ryulong deletes it.

To that comment, Kato, I am not surprised to know that SlimVirgin supported the Kabbalist Ryulong. By what I heard about not warning users, blocking huge ranges of IP's, and blocking the Electronic mail, I realised what he was doing was not "cool" but it was what he was supposed to fight - vandalism. A probable CIA operative would support a kaballist, just because the CIA are part of the Establishment, dirty Big Brother looking at you. Also, no surprise that Jimbo let these Leninist behaviours in the WP Cabal, I bet he is sitting at home looking at Bomis porn mourning about the RFC on Ryulong. I am hoping that Ryulong gets blocked, but I am thinking otherwise.



About ownership, what can I say? Wikipedians themselves aren't liars and hypocrites, the admins are. Jimbo also considers himself to own Wikipedia, yet there is a policy against that. He doesn't consider he and Larry Sanger co-founers, and it would be better if we were all admins. Hypocrites should be banned, not people like Daniel Brandt. This is a sad truth, but it is the truth anyway.

Not only that, but he vandalized the page in part because he claimed that someone was talking about something previously talked about earlier... however he then archives the previous discussion rendering it pointless to erase a thead on it.
