now, how come our feeds picked this up from Newsvine but not New York Times? I am pretty sure New York Times is picked up by RSS feeds o_O

The snobbiness comes across as "erratic and arrogant."

The repudiation of the democratic model begs the question of what group decision-making model is at work in WP.

It appears to be an erratic and arrogant oligarchy.

And the all-time fave-rites —

Hypocracy (pronounced "hype-ocracy" in the UK and some parts of Canada).

Mediocracy (rule by the most mediocre medium).
