Will no one rid us of this troll, who is very deliberately, enthusiastically and maliciously running real-life experts - Los Alamos Labs, people - off the project?

Why is the purportedly retired User:Cheeser1 still around, while the prize-winning physicists he's driven off are left only to curse Wikipedia?

Who made this decision?

While I don't think the traffic was ever released to the public, one or more of the physicists who left exchanged lengthy messages with Wales and Godwin regarding elements of the case. There is a good trail of evidence of who was aware of what.

One of his edits here

is commented as “rvv / bad-faith "undo" that reintroduces serious and known grammar, spelling, etc. problems”. Hower, his revert seems to have spelling, grammar problems of its own. E.g.

“Northward it's located Barrio Amon, with a considerable amount of building of really old age, and architectionally important.”

Reads like a Google translation.

QUOTE(Cheeser1)
Every time I leave Wikipedia for a while, I come back and get hit again with another frivolous complaint. Be it from an SPA, a COI-pusher, or some other person interested in retaliating for something I've done, it always happens, without fail. They crop up to back each other up, uninvolved editors take half a glance at the situation - sometimes siding with me, sometimes with others - and now invariably, I am apparently chasing away good editors who just happen to be making disruptive contributions. Well, if throwing a hissy fit, repeating frivolous complaints over and over, and staging disruptive complaints are the way to get anything done around here, than I'll just excuse myself permanently. Nothing screams "drama" more than somebody disrupting an AfD without end, disrupting the discussions about the AfD without end, writing rants on endless numbers of talk pages, and then "leaving forever" only to return and file a retaliatory (and redundant) ANI complaint weeks after the fact. Pathetic that I am getting, once again, bitched at and scapegoated for this, and ironic that all of this "OMG HOW DAREZ YOU CHASE OFF GOOD NEWBIES 4EVER" is going to lose you an actual contributor, Wikipedia.

I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it.

I was also slightly amazed by his habit of taunting blocked users...
Moulton
He's a remarkably immature, unprofessional, and unethical participant in the project.

Reading back over this, a few things strike me...

If only he would...

Isn't ProScience the researcher from Los Alamos National Lab?

I've learned not to take newspaper headlines as reliable sources.

That's what got a bunch of credulous vandals into trouble before.

I came across Cheeser1 on one of the anti-pedophilia searches I made a few months back. Cheeser1 was involved a lot in the homophobia category disputes. Its one of those tricky cats that should basically allow all religions to be added to it, but strangely enough, one of the few religious groups there (AFA) actually pushes a lot for anti-pedophilia activism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:American...ation/Archive_5

Of course, some of the homosexuality editors would want the group to be added as from the looks of it they are a pretty conservative group who actively promotes choice of orientation and conversion therapy. I rather dislike the AFA just from the looks of its website, but I don't see any of the editors in the dispute actually trying to remove criticism of the AFA. They just seemed to want to add whatever positive or neutral views that appear in the literature.

It looks as though Cheeser1 has made plenty of rather dubious and self-contradictory statements in that dispute, just to make absolutely certain the AFA were tarred with homophobia in exclusion of any other religious group, who do actually have something to say about the subject of homophobia.

Cheeser1 is very active and seems to be quite abusive on the Wikiquette article.

Not too sure if Cheeser1 is some sort of pusher, or just another of the legion of WP clueless dorks.

Sorry, I really couldn't remember the name (still can't) and was in a hurry....but it was that AfD that made dramaz on ANI and here for bad reasons (mostly because of Cheeser...)
