Full Version: Stifle's criticism-reduction tactic

Heh, just picked this up from Carcharoth's talkpage - the admin Stifle has apparently invented a new tactic to deflect criticism, expect this to expand soon. The normally standard talk page link from his signature goes to the fully protected page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Stifle/wizard

This of course makes it much harder to accumulate evidence of admin misconduct.

Like, mostly impossible. On the face of it, it just looks like a dab for various pages in which classes of TALK messages are left, as though they'll be indexed and archived. Wrongo. Where are all other outraged messages left for Stifle over the years? Not archived. Gone. Or as gone as he can make them. They must be mirrored somewhere in some off-WP site, but again it just gets harder and harder to dig them out.

Stifle is well-named, as he has a nasty habit of blocking people to gag them, and otherwise not listening, blanking other people's comments whenever he can, and generally erasing history (especially as it pertains to his own administrative decisions.)

Indeed, take a look at this oubliette of a "wizard", and see the future of Wikipedia.

Brandt? User:Stifle is somebody I'd dearly love to see Hiveminded. He's a bastard of the first water.

Giggy
Most of the links on that wizard end up pointing to the new section link of his talk page anyway...

I was starting to get a headache, simply from a stressful night at work, but that pretty much set it over the top. Just... wow. And people complain about Betacommand's 10 points?

It's like those customer-service automated telephone systems where you have to navigate a maze of twisty little passages, all different, in order to hopefully get someday to a point where you can talk to an actual human being. "Press 1 if you have a problem with billing. Press 2 if you need to change your order. Press 3 if you did not receive a shipment..."

Yes, all the charm of corporate voice mail now available in a text environment. Maybe he is trying to deliberately mimic a utility company for section 230 purposes? It is about the only way I can imagine to make Wikipedia's admins less responsive and unloved.

Yeah, but not this one. Stifle's got absolutely nothing to lose by it.
