It would be more of a concern if it wasn't a rehash of an already stale EFF release. Any reason not to merge this with the thread on the EFF puff piece?

This is a landmark victory as it means that the owners of Wikipedia do not have to take responsibility for what is written on the site, essentially making the website immune to further defamation lawsuits.

Since when is a trial court ruling "a landmark victory." They certainly suck it up from the EFF.

Wow. That's crazy hyperbole.

It's a order, which appears to be an order proposed by a lawfirm (note the document control numbers)--essentially a rubber-stamp, as are often prepared along with preliminary motions, so that the judge can just sign it when they make a ruling--in a state trial court, interpreting Federal law in Mammoth County, New Jersey. Yeah. Everyone's going to cite that for ages. Landmark victory!
