Weiss's prophetic rant against Wall Street is eerie given what we've seen lately. He lambasted brokers who pushed microcap stocks -- low-priced stocks issued by the smallest of companies -- on novice investors.
But did he also "lambaste" brokers who pushed
mega-cap stocks like Enron, Tyco, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Arthur Andersen, and Adelphia Cable on novice investors, before the corrupt managers of
those companies caused the values of
those stocks to plummet, or in some cases become completely worthless?
I think not!
