Cock-up-over-conspiracy
What is funny about this article template is that it actually made it to "protect" status before someone noticed and it was deleted ...

The logs for that page suggest (a) that it was never actually protected; and (b) that it was deleted nearly 18 months ago.

What am I missing here?
Viridae
Nothing, it was never protected, the protection template was added by the creator of the fake template: User:Lucyintheskywithdada. It lasted all of 3 days before being deleted.

Typical Wikipediot... They spend all that time on a funny template, but they think "someway" is a word.

Not really one of the faithful - far from it. Quite a few sockpuppets and only lasted 8 months or so from account creation to indef (and about a month to the first block).

So those who edit and those who vandalize are all Wikipediots?

For me, the definition has expanded over time to basically:

Wikipediot (n.) - anyone who makes a mistake while editing Wikipedia.

Nerd
Wikipediot is a stupid and ridiculous word. It's Wikipedian. This simple fact seems to have gone straight over the heads of many people here. I expect whoever invented it thought they were immensely clever to think up such an unfunny play on words.

Wow. Just, wow.

Mister Serious, putting his foot down.

Holy smokes, I can't believe how many douche chills this gave me, if you are being at all serious in your reproach.

Has there been a time warp, and Nerd is contacting us from the year 2005?

I'm simply giving my opinion, hardly "putting [my] foot down". I'm sure many people think it is an hilarious insult. I simply do not, I think it is lame and childish. Feel free to disagree.

Wikipedian

Ah, "wikipedian" - pretend citizen of a pretend nation, with pretend police, pretend courts and a pretend encyclopedia.

The word has too much ideology following it around to use it seriously.

(Though I'm glad to see Consensus® on how to spell "wikipediot".)

The irony you're missing is that, at best, it's much the same sort of word "nerd" is.

I'm 66.7% sure it is a word, or at least I hope it is, as I've been known to use it myself.

I find "Wikipedian" to be sufficiently derogatory for most of my own needs.

That may be.

The way it is used above, "in someway", you would surely agree is improper usage?

I thought you considered editing Wikipedia to be a mistake in of itself. Or maybe that was implied and I missed it.

Yes, of course it's wrong there. Someway is an adverb.

Pejorative expressions, insults, dissing, narcissistic wounding, smackdowns, character assassination, and defamation are the hallmarks of WikiCulture.

Just like any other MMPORG.

Wikipedia is a wonderfully potent tool that spurts out the jizz of knowledge.

Though it does tend to leave behind a nasty sticky mess and inevitably ends up creating numerous bastards.

Oh, yes. I didn't actually read the template, only your comment. Banner blindness, you know. dry.gif
