Mr. DeVos has his pyramid scheme, Mr Wales has his own. It was only a matter of time before they got together.

For more information on this talk...

It is going to be available on live RealAudio broadcast, at 12:30 PM (Eastern), Friday, January 15.

Calvin College is in Grand Rapids, Michigan... so Lar, I am expecting you to be there to ask the "hard" questions. Awbrey probably won't trek half-way across the state to see Jimbo, I suspect.

Also a bit funny:

The Kosher --

Larry Sanger was one of the co-founders of Wikipedia, that's correct.

Our original post (above) called Jimmy Wales "founder of Wikipedia" when it should have been "a founder ...."

Shortly after it went up, we corrected it to read "co-founder."

Thanks for reading and for commenting.

Not even on a clear day …

BTW, what was the name of Calvin College's dog?

Does it matter? To avoid starvation it probably learned to come without being called.

Did anybody listen to the streamed Calvin College speech?

Sounds like one Calvin College stakeholder didn't buy into it.

POP EMPIRE

An online learning space for "Pop culture in the Empire," a 2010 interim course at Calvin College taught by Rob and Kirstin Vander Giessen-Reitsma.

...I couldn't help but detect some questionable underlying themes consistent throughout his talk....
