Apple's kind of in a unique position in the Fortune 500 in that they've shrewdly cultivated a cult following over the years, so they already have legions of fans willing to write about them in Wikipedia, rather than hiring public relations folks to work with Wikipedia and setting off the "OMG PAID EDITING" raid siren. Few of the other 500 companies have this advantage; I can't remember the last time I saw an ExxonMobil sticker on a hipster's VW, or a Berkshire Hathaway tramp stamp.
