One of the ideas crucial to democracy is Freedom of Speech, including freedom to criticize the government, freedom to petition the government for redress of grievance, and due process (which includes freedom to present a defense and to confront and cross-examine witnesses).

It is ironic that recent events in Wikiversity demonstrate that Jimbo does not embrace or adopt those principles within his own acts of governance of WMF-sponsored projects.

The whole idea strikes me as unlikely as Rev. Jimmy Jones delivering a speech on suicide prevention.

Could someone ask their editor to comment. Was the story true?

Or was it an instance of a breaching experiment -- a hoax story surreptitiously planted by some prankster?

I note that Wales is indeed listed as a keynote speaker, but the title of his talk is not given in the announcements.
