As nobody seems to have mentioned it. I notice they don't mention minor details like "pay and conditions".

Is it important to be register Sex offender, of your state, as a prerequisite for a job at wiki?

"grappling with many problems that no one has ever solved before" - um, yah.

Like how the Wikimedia Foundation should spend the oodles of excess money that it doesn't need.

Keeping an eye on the Wikimedia Foundation wiki's recent changes is always a good idea. I suspect a few people here already do, though things get missed often enough that the number is seemingly pretty low currently.

Personally, I watch a feed of every edit to the wiki... because I'm a loser. smile.gif

I see that opposition to me is also a preferred characteristic of applicants:

Is this yet another reference to the Crisco and fisting (T-H-L-K-D) wikis? hmmm.gif

I also watch the User creation log to see who is graced.

Do 14 year olds really need a WMF account?

No, but the WMF needs all the 14-year olds it can get.

"[The ideal WMF staffer] reads widely; they like gadgets and puzzles; they make stuff for fun. They are optimists and tinkerers." Moulton, I think she's flirting.

I sent an e-mail to Thunderhead, but it bounced back -- mailbox full. Anyone have a way by which I could get in touch with him?

Or is this too obvious? You're explicitly not blocked there.

My real name is xxxxx xxxxx, and I am sixteen years old.
I've been a Wikinewsie for three years, with my first article published when I was thirteen.
I became an administrator, after two failed (self-nominated) attempts when I was fourteen.
During the last year, school has kept me busy, restricting my work on Wikinews to small administrative tasks.
On my sixteenth birthday, I was lucky enough to see ...

We could only wish ... there are better things to do when you are 14.
