Lowry, who is known as "Orange Mike" on Wikipedia, describes himself as toward the "deletionist" end of the site's "inclusionist/deletionist" spectrum.

"I hold articles to higher standards of notability, verifiability, etc. than some other editors," Lowry says on his own Wikipedia page, explaining that such pickiness is crucial with the site's servers at maximum capacity.

Whatever happened to "not paper"?

Abed said recently that he never knew he had a Wikipedia page, and that he wasn't disappointed it was gone. He characterized Wikipedia as a kind of "old media" that people don't use much any more.

Are people discarding information from internet and using books and libraries again? Or maybe they are getting more information from Facebook since it copies Wikipedia's content now?

Are television and newspapers "old media"? Do people need information at all?

This article should have been deleted not because Councilwoman Oriz is not notable but because the article was copied from her page on the city council website. It is a copyright violation, see

http://olgadiaz.com/about.php

Anyone who wishes is free to recreate the article using reliable published sources as references. She is obviously notable.

I don't see where Orangemike said anything to the effect of that last part. Whoever originated this claim is ignorant that "deleted" pages still occupy the database (and thus should refrain from commenting further on this subject). In fact I'm not aware of any action available through the web interface that can decrease the total database size (apart from randomly triggering a certain sub-process to purge old checkuser data).
