This is exactly what should be happening. Wikipedia is an abomination, a chimera, a thing that could not possibly exist. Proponents point to it and argue that it does exist, and we were all proved wrong, by the very fact of its existence.
But we were right after all. Common sense says that, once the committed and the powerful and the rich have worked out how to use Wikipedia, then the viewpoint of the the committed and powerful and the rich will prevail. Not the truth, by any means.
It just took them a while to work it out. Once governments realise that Wikipedia is the logical place for any pressure or propaganda group or ministry to spend its time, then the balance of power on Wikipedia will come to reflect the actual balance of power. As well as wars, conflict, ideological struggle.
