The slips of paper look like they were pre-printed, not a "live feed" of edits. As with most things Wikipedia, what you're led to believe isn't the actual fact of the matter.
Having watched the video, the creators say "It can be hard to appreciate the detail of changes from one specific edit..." (i.e., we couldn't be bothered to code it) so they just print the first line of the edited article. I guess this also masks the incidents of vandalism ,etc. I liked this idea of this project, but I wasn't big on the execution.
