It would be terrific if any of our resident super-sleuths could learn the identity of this big donor. Richard Lounsbery and George Soros are surely in the running.

Three or four times a month, one of our local news channels runs a story about some person who sent their life savings off to a post office box in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico or someplace like that, because some con-person spun them a line on the phone that they apparently never heard before. As a general rule, these people are happy to tell their stories for the benefit of others, but prefer not to publicize their names.

Fools and their money are so frequently parted that I don't see anything terribly newsworthy in knowing all of them by name.
