The resignation of two top employees at the nonprofit foundation overseeing Wikipedia points to governance problems for the online encyclopedia. A Wired News exclusive.
Article: http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/rss/searc...?tw=rss.cultureDanny Wool and Brad Patrick have resigned.
I thank Somey for the heads up.http://www.wired.com/news/technology/inter...ml?tw=rss.indexThis representatives the first and real death throw for Wikipedia.
As I and many others have stated -
Wikipedia ain't gonna be around for much longer.
If one is seeking a real encyclopedia, then one needs to find an encyclopedia which is edited by professionals,
where accountablity is a reality.Where "editors" do not commit slander and libel and are then applauded by the management of such organization for doing so.
Yes - we can now also witness many "sockpuppets" beginning to disappear.
How many sockpuppets and meatpuppets did Wool and Patrick have?
Lastly, Wool if you are ever seeking a job in Israel - don't!
That ain't a threat.
It's a fact.
Ya just don't hurt innocent people and walk away.
The soon to be released
The Wikipedia Contest just may prove to be the knock out punch to these resignations.
In the meantime - please pass the Champange
AND TO WIKIPEDIA REVIEW AND ITS MEMBERS -
