You realize that these disputes were between people who were near the very top of the list at the time of dispute? More generally, the probability that any of these people past about position 5-10 will assume the thrown is, for all practical purposes, zero.

I don't think that the Wars of the Roses or the Jacobite rebellions of 1715 and 1745 can be dismissed like that.

Incidentally, there is serious talk of changing the succession rules so that an older sister takes precedence over a younger brother. That won't half muck up that article! laugh.gif
